The cash flow from the funds lent to and (borrowed from) other financial reporting institutions arising from excess or shortfall in reserve deposited at the Federal Reserve Bank to meet legal requirements. This lending and borrowing is usually contracted on an overnight basis at an agreed rate of interest.
